Host On Demand

Utilize HOD for remote access to mainframes. Have the ability to track access by total number of users via the URL for HOD.

Business needs the ability to track by HOD access by user. Suggestions? Parameter? Logging? Other?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, meant to mention using HOD for access to the Mainframe, user repository is within HOD, not using LDAP interface....

Thanks.

Hello and welcome to the forum,

None of my clients use Host on Demand, so i don't have anything specific.

The mainframe records each time a user logs onto the system.

Why does someone believe that this will not provide what is needed?
Hope this helps,

Two problems doing that in this my inherited environment:

1) Mainframe UserID does not equal UserID defined in the HOD internal security table: Bill Smith is ABCxxx in the mainframe and bsmith in HOD

2) Tracking all the mainframe UserID signons is available, and we could try and reconcile the ABCxxx mainframe UserID with bsmith in HOD, but how do you really know when bsmith used ABCxxx thru HOD versus initiating a 3270 session using ABCxxx from their local PC?

That's why the need to capture this info (bsmith) at the time of user authentication by HOD to guarantee an accurate record for HOD users.

Hello,

Then you probably need to contact HoD SUpport. . .

If what you want can be done, they will know how.
Hope this helps,
