how to stop the file

if i get the abended whild procesing vsam files in batch i get from one file one record is abbended how cani recognise it and how can i stop that file and modify that

Hello,

You don't "stop" the file. You determine why the abend, correct it, and re-run the job.

how cani recognise it
By diagnosing the abend that has occurred.

You are using file status codes, aren't you??!
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.
