Hello,

I have to fille 32 dataset with 800 000 tracks each on.
To do that, i have 32 jobs with tis allocation for each dataset :




The dataset are SMS Managed, compressing, extended,striping with Guarantee space
So the jobs will run with five minutes lates each one :
Job1 : 19h00
Job2 : 19h05
Etc..
By doing that, each dataset will use 910*15 * 59 = 805350 TRKS
910 cyl in each volume *59
Could you tell me if i am right by doing that and i will not have B37 or E37 ?
Acutally the storage group is empty with 59 volume M27.

Why can you not check this with your storage admin? They know your setup and whether what you are doing is correct for that setup.

do you really mean fill all the tracks with data? In that case I would recommend not using a dataclass which invokes compress.
