Invoking SDSF columns

Postby rajas.abcdefg » Sun May 02, 2010 7:12 pm

Hi ,

Is it possible to pass the JOBNAME CPU% EXCP-Cnt CPU-Time column values into a dataset for an executing job?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Hello,

One easy way is to use sdsf, display the active job (or selected datasets) and copy/paste the info you want into some file or member that is being edited on the "other" tso/ispf screen. When you have captured what you want, SAVE.

Info from one job or multiple jobs can be put in the same file.
Hope this helps,

Actually I am looking to write a Job to trigger a mail only for jobs that has taken CPU TIme>90 minutes. I am bit confused whether I can achive this by the below resolution.

Thanks

You can run SDSF as a batch job, do the DA command and parse the output file containing the screen data. Search on SDSF + BATCH for examples.
