Local page datasets - addition

Postby jaggz » Wed Aug 31, 2011 12:24 pm

Hi experts,

When there is shortage of auxillary storage we add the Local page datasets by adding it to IEASYSxx member or By issuing PAGEADD command. Could anyone please suggest or clarify does the above two method do differ ? As per the PAGEADD command it adds the locals page datasets dynamically and it remains till next IPL with CLPA, But for the long term increase or addition of page datasets which one of above two will be the best to go with.

Please suggest me your experts comment

Regards,

BOTH of them
use the pageadd to react to the IRA messages AND
remember to update the IEASYS for the next IPL

but if You are just being proactive the IEASYS.. method is enough
cheers

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort

Hi Enrico,

IEASYSxx option seems to be good one to adopt for a proactive approach. Thanks a lot for your reply.
