hi.. can anyone pls help me in understanding what is a humming bird and what is the difference between a humming bird and IBM Personal communnications?

Please refrain from multiple posts - I have now encountered this a second time which is a waste of my time.
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.
