Thanks Mongan. We generated list of HSM tapes - HSEND LIST TTOC SELECT(BOTH) ODS('ODS') and performed recycle againest some of the tapes with volume status as EMPTY - HSEND RECYCLE VOLUME(xxxxxx) EXEC.

You need to recycle with some kind of percentage number given, otherwise, for example, you could have hundreds of tapes with only 1% used, which is a total waste. If you used 50% you could wind up having 2 or 3 tapes instead of 100.
