Postby jaggz » Tue Dec 14, 2010 11:03 am

Hi,

Our checkpoint dataset in DB2 has got corrupted. Due to which our DB2 subsystem is bouncing down. Is it worth to go for a db2 cold start ?. Please advice.

You should have got quite a few messages explaining what has been going on
a cold start might fix some issues, but ...

only analyzing all the messages Your support will be able to tell You what to do exactly
cheers

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort

Enrico,

Would you mind explaining the impact of Cold -start ? Are there any changes in system-level apart from Initialization of checkpoint frequency dataset ? I have directed my questions to the senior support member, but the above questions are just for a knowledge sake.
