IBM Mainframe Forum

Hello.

I would like to receive an orientation in order to connect to an AIX server, execute some commands there and recieve the control back to finish some other tasks within mainframe.
Could anyone give me a clue ??

why don' You get the orientation using Your employer' s resources ??
( your tutor or the internal IBM forums )

it is laughable (and unethical) for an IBM employee to ask for help on a public forum

we provide answers ..
free of charge
on our own time and our own equipment
why should we provide free consultancy to IBM
when IBM makes customers pay for even the simpler question asked to IBM support

I am sorry Enrico if I misunderstood the use of the forum. I thougth, like others, that is a place where we can exchange challenges which could work for others. So, to whom do you provide answers/support ? Which is the target audience of this forum ?
I never intended to take advantage of anything, your words sound a bit hard and unfair.

Once upon a time mostly experienced people were hired by IBM. These days it appears as though IBM hires as many inexperienced people as those with experience. Probably for 2 reasons - availablility and $ . . .

I thougth, like others, that is a place where we can exchange challenges which could work for others.

Yes, we're here for the exchange - keeping in mind that this particular forum is primarily for students and "freshers" to ask questions.

In answer to your original question, suggest you talk with the people who support networking and connectivity between these systems and learn what options are available. It might also help if you mention just what you are trying to accomplish.

You deserve respect as I do, so please, don't qualify persons which you don't know, and yes, as you know, the world economy is changing, it is sad, but true. I have experience in many things but I don't know everything, if it makes me an "inexperienced" people, well, good. I am proud to work for this company, and I am trying to be proactive and research everywhere in looking for solutions. I will do all my effort to serve it. I don't see what's wrong there. In fact, I shared my solutions as well. I contribute here also.
I'm not sure how many members of this forum are "students". You mostly have contact with MF by working, and if this forum brings support also for begginers, well I am a begginer in some topics, while I am an employee. Is that incorrect ?

Well Enrico, you have disabled the reply option to a PM, so I couldn't answer you in that way. Be sure that I read and understood what you wrote. I don't agree at all. I don't think someone is "incompetent" as you call me because of asking and researching, Incompetent is a person who is not engaged with his/her work. We have different points of view of the same situation.
