Hello,

Can anyone explain me about the significance of adding the dataset to APF library. Sorry if i am not very precise.

Certain instructions within a program can only be issued from an authorized load module. Authorization involves setting a flag on the module itself AND the load module must be executed from a library in the APF list.

Programs that are APF-authorized can perform certain system functions that are otherwise not allowed. Usually some system programs and vendor programs are APF-authorized but application programs rarely need that level of access to system resources.
