SARS reports logging from Mainframe.

Is there a way to collect SARS reports from Mainframe ACF2 servers in an automated fashion? Our plan is to retrieve SARS reports and log it to a central server.

If it is possible to get SARS reports to a remote system through syslog/ftp (push) or remotely (pull) collect them via Connect:Direct it will also be feasible. If anyone has a reuseable JCL to do this if you can share it this will be helpful.

Are you thinking of SARS the performance command in UNIX. If so there is no equilivant command in zOS, you have RMF with data in the TYPE 70-79 records logged in SMF dataset(s).

What do you mean by SARS?

By SARS I think the original poster meant an output management product from CA. CA calls it something different now, but the old name is still the most common name. SARS has nothing to do with performance.

I'm not sure what the original poster meant by an ACF2 "server," I don't think there is such a beast, though the intent was probably a z/OS "server" using the CA-ACF2 security package.

Based on the complete lack of useful information in the original post, I don't believe even a CA level 1 tech, who are very good at helping people with this type of problem, could help. The poster must provide useful information if he expects a useful answer.
