can any one tell me how to send an email using JCL ?

It would be helpful if you provide me the JCL and explain how it works.

There are hundreds of examples available on the forum for the query posted, try searching for it first; a simple GOOGLE search for the "but obvious" and badly written search string: 'jcl to send email from mainframe', returned more than 30k results, quite a lot of them from this and the sister forum, which have the JCL as well as an explanation of the same.

Refer the already posted topics, read through them, understand the usage, try testing the JCLs; if you are stuck up somewhere, post the error here, and someone will be able to help you out.

And 9 minutes between your posts? a) you can edit your post up to 10 minutes after posting b) do not solicit replies - people answer on a voluntary basis - if they feel so inclined: posting a query that could easily be answered by searching the forum first is likely to make people less inclined to answer as one of the rules is that you search first. Please read the forum rules so that you know what other things do to or avoid doing.

Also note that if you use SMTP to send the email, there are values that are specific to each site. Hence, any JCL you find may -- or may not -- work at your site; you may have to customize it for your site standards. Depending upon how much you want to understand about the email process, you may have several days -- to several months -- of reading to do starting with whatever your site uses for email (SMTP for example).
