Hi,

Recently I came across a strange situation where production job was failing due to unknown issue. But test run of it was going fine with same production input. Job has only one step which calls program which was last compiled on 1998.

As part of resolution, we checked out the component again in new changeman package and added that in steplib.

After that production job went fine.

My doubt ,it is really due to compilation issue or something else.

Please help .

There Was some Reason for the failure . . .

It is possible that "something" in the environment was changed/upgraded and would no longer work with the older load module.

Sounds like there is an old version in a JOBLIB/STEPLIB or LINKLIST
