Hi,

I have a FB file with 2500 lrecl.
It has '100' & '500' values in column 3

I need to replace 683 column with static date '2010-12-12' if column 3 has a value '100'.

I know I can use IF THEN OVERLAY, but the problem is our mainframe version does not support these commands.

Can anyone please help !!!

Well, it could take a while. But, the feature has been available for a long while

Which release of the sort is currently being used? If your system is as out of date as some i've worked on, even workarounds may not be available. . .
