Can anyone please provide link to read more about SORT utility?

For which product, DFSORT or SYNCSORT?

It would be great if you provide for both.

If you go to the DFSORT/ICETOOL/ICEGENER forum, there's a sticky at the top for DFSORT Reference Materials.

Syncsort product manuals are only available to licensed product owners directly from Syncsort.

If you're not familiar with DFSORT and DFSORT's ICETOOL, I'd suggest reading through "z/OS DFSORT: Getting Started". It's an excellent tutorial, with lots of examples, that will show you how to use DFSORT, DFSORT's ICETOOL and DFSORT Symbols. It's not clear what your question means. SS is DFSORT's INCLUDE/OMIT substring logic function. You can read about it here:
