CAN WE DELETE AN EMPTY RECORD FROM KSDS...... IF S HOW..

A KSDS file cannot have an empty record -- by definition of both KSDS and VSAM. So there is nothing to delete.

but i have a record in ksds whose key value is not there...
it is showing the entire record as ----------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, it is there. . . It is simply not what you want it to be.

Determine what value is in the key (look at the record in hex) and delete that record.

Or unload the file and delete the problem record in batch and reload the good records.
