cobol COMP4 and PREFIX

Could you please any body let me know about COMP4 datatype & the PREFIX verb in the COBOL.

Suggest you download/bookmark the COBOL Language Reference:

If you find something in the manual that is not clear, post what you found and your doubt about it.

Someone will be able to clarify.
