reading a file in easytrieve and need to pass it

I,m reading a file in easytrieve and need to pass it to a called cobol subroutine. The problem is that easytrieve reads the file as text I need it read as binary. Do you know anyway to convert the file to binary?

Text or binary is the same data...it's how you define the fields.

Do you have this working? If not, you need to post more info so someone might be able to help.

Why do you believe the "file wrong"?
