Software Project Briefing - To Study

Hello guys.

I am learning Cobol programming, and I want to know if you have some kind of briefing of a Software Project. I need to train on the language, but i don't have idea of software to develop. :(
If possible I prefer something that uses db2, cics, jcl also.

I'd start by looking at the Rosetta Code chrestomathy, which has several hundred programming problems (not all of which, I concede, are business oriented).
