Hello,

In tso/ispf go to FileAid. Select XREF. Press F1. The xref utility is documented there.
Hope this helps,

Hi All,

I Checked the documentation, but it's not clear.
Could any one provide me more details or suggest me any site or PDF copies regarding XREF (File-aid).

Hi,

The XREF function in File-AID allows the tool to automatically load the correct record layout for the record you are processing. For example, if your file contains record type A, B C and D then the XREF can tell file-AID to select a difference record layout for each of those record types.

You, as the user, have to setup an XREF definition where you must specify the condition (e.g. if RECORD-TYPE=A) and which layout to use if that condition is met.
