there are 2 prog. tv072 and tv072a.tv072 is calling tv072a.
i have added a control card to tv072a.,which contains a new variable.
problem:
whether i m required to declare the new variable in linkage section of tv072a?
do i need to make change in tv072 also.

If you need to pass the new variable you have included in 72A to 72, then you should declare that variable in both 72 and 72a.
