When you highlight and select data from your mainframe emulator screen, it is just the screen you are doing it to, not the actual data.

If you transfer the file to your PC instead (talk to colleagues/support to find out what is available to you for this) you'll see the "data only" plus control codes for "end of line" which are added for Windows in the transfer process, but which do not exist in your mainframe data.

Why are you pasting to notepad? If you are trying to post your data on the forum then post directly into the reply editor, select it and click on the code button (you need to use the post reply link or the full editor as opposed to the quick reply link in order to get the extra editing buttons)

Show the file on the mainframe using HEX ON.
