Hi Frank,

Thanks a lot and this worked well...
But a small doubt though...

here,

JOIN UNPAIRED,F1
REFORMAT FIELDS=(F1:1,4,?,F1:5)
OPTION COPY
OUTFIL FNAMES=MATCH,INCLUDE=(5,1,CH,EQ,C'B'),
BUILD=(1,4,5)

as the 5th char is a B or 1, the BUILD should have been... (1,4,6), I suppose.
Is this right Frank..

Yes, that's correct. I didn't notice the extra character in the output.
