Hi,
i have the following problem:

Input-Dataset:

A BB CC DDD E
BB CCC DDDDE
XX ZZZZ VVVVV

and i want to get th folowing output:

ABBCCDDDE
BBCCCDDDDE
XXZZZZVVVVV

is it possible to do it with DFSORT?

I don't think that includes ibmmainframes.com which is a "sister" site to this one, but the Administrator can correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyway, for the record, the DFSORT control statements for this task would be something like this:

Select all

OPTION COPY
INREC BUILD=(1,80,SQZ=(SHIFT=LEFT))
