can anyone explain me y exactly the plan is needed for the db2-cobol execution? i am not clear with the exact process going behind. as i understood whenever the cobol programs needs the db2 processing it will call the appropriate function to get the data and also plan will create the strategy or path to access the data from the database.cant it be done using dbrm modules itself. can anyone explain the whole concept in short. am bit confused wit it? thanks in advance.
