Hi All,

I recently installed the DB2 on my laptop. I think it is working because i am able to create tables thru CLP and wizard also. But there is a big proble. My Sample table is not created. I am also not able to see anything in control center. please advize

Suggest you review the directions for installing the sample database/table.

Again, what did the install instructions say about "connecting" the control center?

Where did you get the installation material for db2?

If it is a bootlegged copy, all sorts of things may be missing or "broken". If it is a proper copy, IBM will assist with installation issues.

which is freely downloadable from the IBM site..

some time ago I got curious and downloaded and installed it myself
I got into a similar issue, but since it was only curiosity I did not pursue it!
and recovered some dasd space by deleteing everything

Is there not a "place" to submit questions even though it may take some length of time to receive an answer?

i googled it a lot.... and finally got the smaple table...
had to use a few commands like cataloging the sampl table then droping it...and things like that..it finally did work..

all is well with me now...except that nothing is visible in control centre...although everything is visible if i run the query on command line or even command editor....but why am i not able to see my datanase in control center..
