Swap Journal

Postby Iceman_Legend » Sat May 02, 2020 5:29 am

I keep hearing analysts at work talk about swap journals/journaling?

1. What is this?
2. Should I learn it?
3. How do I learn to do it?

It could be a DB2 thing... it is not an ISPF thing.

Google for: journal site:ibm.com

Moved as per Pedro's suggestion
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort

fyi. This question was originally posted on the ISPF forum, then moved to the DB2 forum.

re: "Should I learn it?" (journal)

I only ever worked at IBM so my experience is limited... but I think you are better off if you have DB2 skills vs. ISPF skills.
