IBM DB2 diffusing data science and ML

Postby ravi11081992 » Sun Jun 09, 2019 11:09 am

Hi folks,

Last week there was a news that new version of DB2 is going to be released and IBM DB2 will be using data science and ML techniques so that performance will be faster and also complex queries can be easily performed

Will there be a future for IBM DB2 with this version? as most of the companies are already using Hadoop, Microsoft SQL server and Oracle

Can DB2 bounce back with ML?

What will be scope of mainframe developer? How difficult is to learn IBM DB2 with ML and DS for a mainframe developer?

Please share as I am enthusiastic to work on advanced DB2

Thanks

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort

Topic moved from COBOL to DB2 as it is not related to COBOL but to DB2.
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.
