I have an interview for mainframe testing position I mentioned in my resume that I have known CICS JCL DB2, But I have worked some customized Mainframe Platform, Hence I may not answer well in my interview. Any application testers, can you explain your roles (detailed description)) in your project from top to Bottom clearly .

Eg: Test cases writing
Where/How to take test case input data.
JCL statements alter as per requirements
Run Job
View the result
How/where to execute the test cases
Consider the above steps and Let me know the full procedure of testing,,, But your answer should cover JCL , CICS , and DB2.

How testing is done is quite site-specific. If there is a way, i'd recommend you talk with someone already working on that system.

Depending on the level of the position, you may be expected to do things as they are already defined (and we do not know how that environment is configured/managed). If you are to be someone designing the test environment, the topic is far too large to deal with in a forum topic.

If you have an understanding of cics, jcl, and db2, you should be able to answer general questions about them during an interview. They are not likely to ask about site-specific things they have done - those would be part of learning the new job.
