Hi there. We support mainframe issues as part of our job at a large insurance company. We don't teach users anything about usage as we mostly support secuity issues like passwords issues/unsuspends/ cancel's etc. We support other issues like reflection settings problems, issues with different screens but the majority of that is an escalation. Basics just. When we roll out the classes we don't have any material that gives a 'basic' overview of what mainframe is and what the benefits are. Usual feedback is simply 'thats a really old system!'
I'm rolling this out again to a new class and would like a basic background as to what mainframe is and the benefits of using it. Could anyone provide me with this? Thanks.
