Am very interested on mainframes. I recently taken coaching also on mainframes . Now myself am thinking to do any one good project on mainframes . please can any one suggest me one task to do. Its very helpful to me. am waiting for your reply's. Thank u.

Waht language are you going to use?
What file formats are you goings to use?
What DBMS are you going to use, if any?
Is it to be interactive or batch?
Or what?
How long is a piece of string?

Now myself am thinking to do any one good project on mainframes

One of the first requirements for working on a mainframe project is having a mainframe system you can log onto. If you don't have one, you need to find one or possibly change the current plan.

Without a system to use, you can read lots of things and with an editor, you can key in programs, jcl, utility control statements, etc but will not be able to see how or even if they work.
