mtu and gtu

Hi
In some of z family mainframes (z15, z14, ...) LOM, there is a part named "mtu" or "gtu". But there isn't any description about them and I cannot find any information on them. Pls help me to know what are them...

FYI:

Maximum transmission unit

GTU Meaning
Javas and Pythons come and go, but JCL and SORT stay forever.

Thnax. But what I mentioned is something in LOM of a server and you can order mtu or gtu in any quantity. What you sent, are some concepts and are not something with a part number.
