First, from http://www-03.ibm.com/software/products ... nvironment :
IBM® z Systems® Development and Test Environment provides a platform for mainframe application demonstration, development, testing and employee education. It enables z/OS, middleware and other z/OS software to run on Intel and Intel-compatible platforms without the need for z Systems mainframe hardware. It is based on the IBM System z Personal Development Tool (zPDT), which provides an emulated z Systems architecture with virtual I/O and devices.
and from the linked to page in the previous quote at https://www-356.ibm.com/partnerworld/wp ... w_com_zpdt :
ISV Eligibility, System z Developer Discount Program
The zPDT technology is available to PartnerWorld Independent Software Vendor (ISV) members who are approved for the IBM System z Developer Discount Program and who are, and remain, IBM PartnerWorld members in good standing. The zPDT can only be used for development, test, and demonstration, and cannot be used for production workloads of any kind.

Non-ISV offer, IBM Rational Development and Test Environment for System z
In addition, the zPDT technology is also available to commercial customers, IBM Business Partners, and Systems Integrators as part of the Rational Development and Test Environment for System z. This offer is limited to single image, z/OS development, Rational test sandbox environments only. Additional terms and conditions apply, see your IBM Rational software representative for more detail.

If you are in the IBM PartnerWorld program and are approved for the IBM System z Developer Discount Program or you have an IBM Rational software representative: contact them.

If you are not part of PartnerWorld nor an IBM Rational Development and Test Environment user: you CANNOT purchase the product, period.

Why not talk to your IBM contact? Or talk to the IBM Dallas center which has supported ADCD and zPDT for years?

From https://www-356.ibm.com/partnerworld/wp ... dt_pricing :
To order zPDT, technology or the ITC uPDT solution, consult Information Technology Company, LLC (ITC) from the how to order page. ITC can provide you with zPDT solution pricing or services.

From the IBM product order page:

"Authorized user single install — Allows only a single unique user to access a single install of the software."

What does this mean? if we install the software on a single desktop, only a single TSO session can be established on a z/os image ?

No, you can set up 42 (zillion) different TSO userid's, and you can use all of them, probably not at the same time, but allowing two people to use this single desktop, whether concurrently, or consecutively, will breach the conditions of your license!

So if need two developers to use this single installed zos image, we need 2 licenses ?
How many CP/ZIIPs can be used via a each license ?
