sathyasri,

Please post some other information regarding the abend.

Which gave the abend some utility or some COBOL Program?

Arun.

Try referencing the error code in the following manual:

http://www-03.ibm.com/servers/eserver/z ... rv/lookat/

Check your system log. Look for DFS3303I, match up timestamp. This is usually a stopped database. DB will be listed in the DFS3303I message

Are you using IMS? Because IMS ROLB abends with user code 3303. This is a controlled abend issued by the program. All changes since the last commit point (IMS CHKP command) are discarded as weill as output messages. If you are in a IMS DC environment all messages retrieved since the last commit point are returned to the message queue. You can verify this by issuing a /DISP at a MTO terminal.
Hope this helps!

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort

A U3303 occurs when a response to a query comes more than three years after the query. It can be corrected by clicking the 'view new posts' link rather than the 'view unread posts' link.
