HI everyone..............
can anyone tell abt
What is the full form of IEB and IEH utilities in JCL.
Steve wrote:Most IBM programs (and messages) start with 3 characters. Way back in OS/360 IEB was assigned to a group of program collectively called "data set utilities," and IEH was assigned to a group of programs collectively called "system utilities." The data set utilities used DD names (usually SYSUT1 for input, or SYSUT2 for output) to define their data sets; the system utilities usually specified data set names provided in control statements, combined with DD names that specified volumes, but not data sets. These same characters continue in use to this day.
