VSAM DASD space using LISTCAT output?

Postby brunda » Tue Mar 03, 2009 7:06 pm

Hi,

Could you please give me some guidelines on calculating the DASD space occupied by datasets on DASD based on high level qualifier with out refering the DCOLLECT file, as I too as a developer, do not have access.

Anticipating Quick Reply,
Thanks,
Brunda

Hello Brunda and welcome to the forum,

You might ask someone in storage admin to run the dcollect for you and create a file that you can use. . .

If this is not an option, suggest you create/generate IDCAMS LISTCAT control statements to gather the info you want.
Hope this helps,
d.sch.

Take a look at ISMF which is great for generating reports just like you want.
